After watching and making online videos over the past year, I’m really excited that the Vloggies are a reality.
On Saturday, Nov. 4, PodTech will produce a night when we can give a big “hoorray!” to the vloggers and online video creators who have been revolutionizing the Internet with their talent, entertaining us, making us laugh and making us cry. For the creators and producers, the awards ceremony will be held at the Swedish American Hall and the after party at Cafe Du Nord in San Francisco. Oh, I can’t forget to mention the pre-Vloggies party on Friday, Nov. 3, sponsored by Blip at House of Shields.
If you have a favorite vlog and online video, please submit it to one of the categories on the Vloggies site here. Thanks to community discussions, we have a broad range of 35 total categories, including individual video as well as vlogs. We’ve been getting many emails asking if it’s OK to self-nominate, and the answer is a big YES. Anyone can nominate anyone, so please start now.
There are TWO final awards per category – one “People’s Choice Awards”, determined by YOU, and the other is the “Favorite” award, as determined by a group of experienced video watchers and video makers. Both People’s Choice and Favorite award nominees and winners will be announced on November 4.
PLEASE NOTE! The nominations process will close on Oct. 18 and the voting will begin on Oct. 20 and end on Oct. 27. So keep those nominations coming, and thank you for participating and recognizing this wonderful community!
